With Pope Francis in the U.S., I thought it was time to highlight a couple of posts I wrote when he was elected. I designed these posts for homeschooling parents to use with their children, but they have plenty of information for adults too. Meet Pope Francis is a simple biography with tie-ins to various school subjects. Matthew 16 and the Papal Conclave for Kids tells how a pope is chosen and where the popes get their authority.

Here are resources elsewhere on the web to keep up with events surrounding the Pope’s visit:

For a schedule of events, see Pope Francis Visit by Catholic to the Max.

Here is information on the World Meeting of Families.

I recommend the National Catholic Register website for accurate, orthodox, and thoughtful stories about Pope Francis.

Finally, click here for EWTN TV coverage of the events.

Please pray for Pope Francis, for all those who will attend the events surrounding his visit, the new media covering it, and our nation. May God use this historic time to turn our country to Him!

I plan to return to my series on Interior Castle next week.
