A video course with Dan and Connie Rossini

Christian Meditation

Deepening our Relationship with Christ

About the Course

St. Teresa of Avila said that meditation was the key to growing in virtue. Yet, sadly, few Catholics today know how to practice this vital type of prayer. It's not difficult or complicated to learn. Dan and Connie will introduce you to several methods, helping you choose the one which works best for you. They will also share the indispensible aids to being faithful in prayer, and help you overcome the most common difficulties people face.

Dan and Connie will release two lessons a week for six weeks. A short video makes up the heart of each lesson. You will find links to further reading, downloads to help you process what you are learning (as well as downloadable instructions on the different methods taught), and questions to discuss with other students in a private forum. Four quizzes test your knowledge. You can also join three live Q & A sessions via Zoom. Please note: live Q & A's are dependent on Connie's health. A substitute may be offered.

Expect three hours of total recorded content, plus three (possible) hours of live Q & A. That's like a weekend's retreat or more, but broken down into small chunks that you can watch on your schedule. Find support from other students who are seeking a deep prayer life. Learn how to apply each lesson as you go. Get answers to your questions about prayer.

This course is not just about information. It's an opportunity for real spiritual growth. Whether you are completely new to meditation, or need some help to keep growing, you will be inspired and equipped to take the next step.

There is no pre-requisite, but it will help if you have taken our course How to Grow in Prayer. You will have full access to the course for 120 days, after which you will be able to watch the videos directly on Vimeo.

You Will Learn:

Why meditation should be your top priority.

How to make your prayer into a dialog.

The best material to meditate on.

How the Holy Spirit works in meditation.

Why you should have a specific time and place for prayer.

How Christian meditation differs from Eastern techniques.

How to practice Lectio divina, Ignatian, and Carmelite methods.

How to deal with exterior and interior distractions.

Why your prayer is sometimes dry.

How to behave during desolation.

The three primary aids to spiritual growth.
