Reopening Detachment Course

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of you are confined to your homes much of the time and are looking for good content to read or view. I’ve decided to help you with both by re-opening my course Nothing Shall I Want: Peace Through Detachment.

Class starts June 1, 2020. You must register by midnight May 31 in order to join us. As with last time, a limited number of scholarships are available for those who cannot afford the course fee, which is currently $45.

If you took the course previously, please consider sharing this information with family and friends, or donating towards a scholarship for another student. God reward you!

More information, including the video summary of Christian Detachment: What, Why, and How? is available on the Landing Page.

I don’t know how else to contact you. The course is showing in my purchases and I am receiving emails but I am not enrolled! “My courses” is empty. I cannot enter the class. Please help!

Hi Connie, I hope this is where we leave our comments from the course for detachment.
To answer the 1st qtn. on My Sole Occupation is Love:

    1. When I fell in love with my husband, my attachment to him caused me to detach from other things. I was already leading a prayerful life and in a group with ladies from church. I had to be careful to not detach from God because my husband was not leading a similar life. He is Catholic but had alot to learn and wanted to join me me on my spiritual journey. I changed in learning how to love my neighbor. I had learned to love God, not perfectly but striving, but loving someone was more of a challenge. I believe God wanted me to learn this.

    2. I spend alone time with God in praying my rosary, reading scripture, spiritual reading ( reading on the Saints) but it’s not the same every day. My communication with my husband needs to improve so he’s not interrupting me but my fault is not actively being constant or stable in my prayer time. I need to get up at a certain time, very early, I struggle with this, so it doesn’t interfere with responsibilities towards my husband.

On the lesson page, there are two ways that you can access the private forum. There is a link on the word “Discussion.” There is also a drop-down menu in the upper right under your login. Choose the option for Class 2.
