Homeschool retreat and wider book availability

DSC_5500

Earlier this month I led my first retreat, for homeschool moms in the Diocese of Winona, Minnesota. What a blast and a blessing! 27 ladies attended the Little Way Getaway. The theme was “Enter into His Rest.”

I gave three talks on a Saturday, interspersed with meals, holy hour, confessions, and a closing Mass with Bishop Quinn.

I took many themes from Trusting God with St. Therese and applied them specifically to homeschool moms. Unlike my talks at the Minnesota Catholic Homeschool Conference last year, the retreat focused more on moms’ spiritual lives than on teaching or parenting.

I love doing these events! It means a lot to actually see and talk to readers. We encourage each other. I believe the day was a great success, accomplishing the goal of helping attendees live in God’s rest in their daily lives, not just for one weekend away.

Next week I’ll be speaking about prayer to the Mothers Group at St. Pius X Parish in Waverly, Minnesota. I appreciate your prayers for the event.

If you live within a day’s drive of New Ulm, Minnesota, I’d love to come speak in your parish, at a retreat, conference, Bible study, or ladies’ tea. Just email me at crossini4774 at comcast dot net.

On the book front, I am just beginning to work on A Spiritual Growth Plan for Your Melancholic Child, after taking a break from writing books during Lent. I have relaxed my writing schedule going forward, so I can live my vocation as wife and mother more faithfully. I will keep you posted on the book’s progress.

Trusting God with St. Therese is now available as an ebook at all major ebook retailers internationally: Google Play, Kobo, itunes, Barnes and Noble, and many more. So, if you don’t like to deal with Amazon, or they don’t operate in your country, you should now have many options for the ebook.

I hope to make the rest of my books similarly available soon.

The paperback of Trusting God with St. Therese is also available through Leaflet Missal. (I don’t know why the photo isn’t showing up online.)

Later this year, I hope to announce the publication of a book I am working on with Daniel Burke of the National Catholic Register and SpiritualDirection.com. This is another project that can use your prayers! We are both over-booked (get it?), so we need God’s grace to finish the writing and editing.

Reminder: all my paperbacks are 10% off with free shipping for the remainder of Easter. Email me to get your signed copies.

Have a great week!

Connie, it’s so exciting to see God use you more and more. I try to be careful because I don’t want to tempt people into pride, but you are really an amazing woman of God and I pray God will continue using your gifts to bless others.

I’m so glad you are speaking. You have such a gift for bringing spirituality into the daily domain. Also excited to see what comes of your cooperation with Dan Burke. He has a great gift too. Many blessings!
